Barre Training Certification Program
Lowcountry Power Pilates is pleased to offer its Barre Training Certification Program to anyone interested in becoming certified to teach at the beginner/intermediate level. Interested individuals can register online here. We’ve just announced our next training dates, February 24-26, 2012!
Course Components:
During this three-day program, participants will learn the exercises and principles of the barre method and classical Pilates. The class is designed to prepare participants to teach safe and effective group fitness and personal training programs through the development of leadership and technical skills.
Topics covered include basic anatomy, injury prevention and care, structure and workout combinations. No previous instructing experience is necessary.
Requirements:
Participants are required to test-out at the end of the training program, where they must be able to demonstrate proper principles, exercise order, technique, presentation and safety. A take-home exam will also be included. If the participant fails, a re-test will be allowed up to two additional times without additional fees. Students must wait one month before attempting to re-test.
You do not need to bring a notebook with you; everything you need will be in your manual. Mats are provided at our studio, however, please feel free to bring your own.
